About Me

Since graduating from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Theatre Arts majoring in Acting, Tammy Weller has worked extensively as an actor, producer, director and writer around Australia.

Tammy created the role of Annie for the 2017 Australian national tour of The Play That Goes Wrong and reprised the role in the Australian and New Zealand tour of Peter Pan Goes Wrong.

Further acting theatre credits include Puffs the Play TEG Live, Hitmen Baker's Dozen Theatre Company, Pocketful of Pebbles White Rabbit Theatre, Macbeth wit inc, Coriolanus Heartstring, Maple and Vine Bottled Snail Productions, and Wind and the Willows Australian Shakespeare Company. She has toured around Queensland and Victoria for deBase productions (Fly In Fly Out, Popping Lead Balloons), Lightwire productions (Thoughts Have Feelings Too, Sprit of the Mask), and La Luna Youth Arts (Yarnin’ Up). She has been in several television commercials, and appeared in Molly on Channel 7.

In 2010, Tammy wrote, produced, and performed Single Admissions at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and a sell-out season at Metro Arts as part of the Allies program. Single Admissions was nominated for six Matilda Awards including Best Independent Production and Best New Australian Work. In 2014, Single Admissions was published by Playlab press. In 2018, she wrote Pocketful of Pebbles in collaboration with Lisa Smith and Victoria Carless that was premiered at HoTA. Tammy was part of Playlab’s Incubator program in 2023, then in 2025 she was commissioned by Playlab to write Theft with Oliver Gough and Amy Chien-Yu Wang. It will be presented as part of Playlab’s 2027 season. Tammy was also Dramaturg on White Rabbit Theatre’s Ready or Not.
